If you’ve recently become an ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾ rep, here’s something new just for you.
Launching next Tuesday 16 September, New Rep Connect is an online community for reps who have been accredited in the past two years. The space is the first of its kind, hosted on the brand-new ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾ Activism App. It’s a place where you can:
-
Ask questions and get quick advice
-
Share your own ideas and experiences
-
Learn from other new reps going through the same journey
Alongside you will be a small group of experienced ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾ reps, volunteering their time as community facilitators. They’ll be there to welcome you, offer guidance, and help you navigate the trickier parts of the role.
Why New Rep Connect?
The first few years as a rep can be exciting but also challenging. It’s easy to feel unsure or isolated when you’re still learning the ropes.
That’s why staff and members in the Activism Academy have got together to launch New Rep Connect: to give you immediate peer-to-peer support, a space for problem-solving, and a sense of community from day one.
How do I join the community?
From Tuesday next week, all ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾ reps accredited in the past two years will get an email and text invitation to join. You’ll access it through the brand-new ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾ Activism App, which you can download straight to your phone. The app is brand new, and New Rep Connect will be its very first community space.
What’s next?
Over the coming weeks, community members will be adding polls, discussions, and live Q&As so you can get the most from the platform.
When you join, don’t wait for someone else to start the conversation! Post a question, share a tip, or let others know what’s on your mind. The more we all get involved from day one, the stronger and more useful the community will be for everyone.
This is just the start. If it’s a success, we hope to open the app up to all reps, as well as different activist groups across the ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾.
Keep an eye on your inbox for your invite – and jump in to help shape this new community from day one!
