At this event we were joined by Professor Donna Mead OBE, CStJ, F¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾, who gave a brief history of the life of Welsh nurse, Betsi Cadwaladr. We were also joined by Adele Cordner and Clare Drewett from Her Story Theatre Company, who performed a scene from their play, 'Daughter of Bala', which really brought Betsi to life!

Our keynote speaker for this event was International Best selling Author, Amanda Prowse, who spoke candidly about her life, career, and personal experiences with nurses and health care professionals.

To mark Black History Month 2020, ¹úÄÚ¾«Æ·ÒÁÈ˾þþþø¾ Wales held a webinar to talk about the nature of race, racism and structural discrimination and inequality across the nursing profession. This event was originally held online on 12 October 2020.
